A N N I V E R S A R Y
(The Gift Sessions Of 2004)

In 2004, I set out to write a few song melodies for an EP, which was suggested for me to do with haste by a certain record label.
Unfortunately, the rush to get something on a recording was too much for someone like myself, who had very little experience in the music world to do.
At the time, no one in the group of "musicians" I was playing with had much experience either, and we were all too young to understand the importance of a good recording or what it even meant to be in a good band.
Styles clashed, ideas were limited, and a lot of the penciled thoughts for a song were mostly impulsively done in the studio, in which our time was also limited. The end result was a disastrous conclusion of simple and unfinished ideas forcefully turned songs.
The EP was an immediate failure and almost instantly went to the archives of the "what could have been" shelf. As time went on,
I would often wonder what could have possibly been "if" the song ideas that I had written during those sessions, would have been done wholeheartedly, and with a different group of "musicians."
Through the years and now listening back, I always felt that the song melodies I had written for the EP did indeed have the potential to become something great in the vein of post punk/dark wave music but sadly, they were never able to see the light of day or the dark on night!
So here we are now, 20 years later,
revisited, re imagined, reconstructed, rerecorded
remixed, and remastered...

The original EP was completed on October 8th 2004. Recorded at Last Beat Records Dallas TX. and Mastered by George Geurin DES.
That being said, I decided to revisit those simple songs ideas and see what they would have sounded like if (Happy Phantom) would have been around in 2004. This is what we came up with...
